K Girdharlal was established in 1967 as a diamond trading company and eventually expanded its operations by setting up a diamond cutting and polishing operation in 1985. The company's foundation is headquartered in Surat, India, where it operates from an IGBC Platinum-rated LEED green building. KG's subsidiaries and partners are situated in Antwerp, Gaborone, Dubai, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New York and Shanghai. As a six decade-old family business, KG is deeply committed to its stakeholders and the communities across the natural diamond value chain. The group is currently being led by the third and fourth generation of the family. Its current focus is on sustainably sourcing rough diamonds from reputed mines and distributing traceable polished diamonds to jewellery brands.
